You know that saying about no one ever wishing they'd spent more time at work? Or something like that? Well, it's like that for me and taking pictures. I never wish I hadn't taken so many pictures. Hmm. I think my double negative just made life too complicated right there. Here's what I meant...
We blessed Luke at church last Sunday. While living in NC, we always had family that flew out for each of the girls' blessings. But not this many. People. Kin. Relations. At the blessing and at our home. It was so awesome. Both sides of our family were well represented. And while it was a lot of people (about 30), it was awesome to have everyone there for the special day. Luke's special day. It was not a day about fancy photo shots or fancy food or fancy anything for that matter. We are a casual kind of family. So we did candids. Hot dogs on the grill (yes... in March in the snow. We had to shovel out a path to the grill, thanks Dad!). And small talk.
Perfectly just our style.
I didn't get a picture of everyone that was there. I wish I had. But that's ok.
It was a good day.
And since we're soooo good at taking family pictures...
