2 Months

enough of this kid!

Oh my goodness, I know I may be just a tad biased and all but seriously? Have you ever seen a cuter baby?

He started smiling at right about 5 weeks and it's been progressively increasing in frequency! We are all charmed by this little guy.

2 months (11 lbs 12 oz now!) and counting...

Haylee: Hey look, when I do this (stick my legs straight up) my legs look like teenager legs.

Cambree: Dad, you kind of eat like a camel.

Mom: Cambree, for the last time, PLEASE get your jammies on!

Cambree: Hmmm....maybe you should turn your head upside down so you can have a happy face...

"Dear Heavenly Father....please make my sister be more calmer..."

Haylee: Mom, does my bum look saggy when I walk? (Because some people's bums look saggy when they walk...)

Haylee to Cambree: Your eyelashes kind of look like raw chicken.

"I can't get my excited to work!"

Haylee: "Dad what is that noise?"
Dad: "What noise Haylee?"
Haylee: "That one"
Dad: "I don't hear anything. What does it sound like?"
Haylee "Well, it um sounds like someone tooting."
Just then the pager on my nightstand vibrated...and sure enough it sounded just the way she described it.

Why is the moon all dirty?

Haylee, while waiting for Grandma and Grandpa to show up: Oh Mom, where are they? I guess they'll be here emotionally!

Haylee: Oh, I want _____!
Mom: (sigh) Maybe for Christmas.
Haylee: Oh yeah, we can write Santa an email.

BJ: Cambree, Let's go find your Hello Kitty shorts!
Haylee: Yeah! Let's find your Shello Sh_tty shorts! I mean your Kello Sh_tty horts!

During Primary...
Teacher: Who can tell me what genealogy is?
8 year old sitting next to me: Oh, I know that, it's a special kind of doctor.
Teacher: No, that's gynecology.

While eating watermelon,
"Just watch out for those vacational seeds Mom"
-Haylee...(I think she meant "occasional")

Our potty training story of the day: Cambree used a remote control to wipe her bum today. Not sure why, the TP was much more accesible. Just glad it wasn't # 2.

On the way home from a friend's house where Haylee had made a magic wand, she said, "Now I have 2 wands, 3 crowns, 2 princess dresses, and one Daddy (he's a boy and I only need one of those.)"

The other day Haylee was asking me what her brain does. I told her a bunch things including how when we see or smell something, our brain sends us a message telling us what the object is. Her eyes rolled upwards at this for several seconds after which she said. "It's not telling me anything now."

"My refluction is in the syrup" (Haylee... she meant "reflection" but it took a good 10 min to figure that out)

"Remind me not to get this kind again." -Julie, after spraying the febreeze in BJ's general direction. "Oh, I remember why I got this kind... It's extra strength!" -after wrinkling her nose in disgust and reading the bottle.

"Can we have Green Patricks Day tomorrow too?"

"Did you know that Jesus was bored? But now he's all grown up." (Haylee)

"Mom, I couldn't wake up this morning. ("Why?") "Because I was watching a movie in my pillow."

"Haylee, what's in your backpack?"
"Just slobber. Cambree put it there."

"Mom, can you turn my arm around please? I kind of want to see my elbow."

"Maybe."
(Haylee's response to the question, Did that sticky thing on your finger come out of your nose?)

Haylee: Guess what? I can hold my pee and my candy!
